Personalization is becoming important in different spheres of life. Companies like Amazon, Apple and Netflix are trying to give personalized experience to their users. Specifically, in education, personalization can be of immense value. Educators know that students learn at different pace and in different ways, hence the importance of personalized attention. However, it is challenging to create a learning environment where each student gets individual attention and is taught in a manner that suits him. This workshop was designed to familiarize participants with the practices and tools to create a personalized learning experience for the students, maintain better relationship with them, and improve their learning and confidence.

Project-based learning is a technique that most of the instructors are familiar with. This allows for hands-on learning of the students as they work on their projects. The essence of a good project-based learning exercise is clear communication and feedback. The workshop explored ways to improve communication, feedback and overall learning from projects. The participants also get a chance to practice effective tools for feedback, student engagement and learning.

Bonus:The participants also learned how to build instructor assets that can help them maintain their distinctiveness.
