This 90min introduction workshop was designed for IBA (Institute of Business Administration) faculty interested in discussing student engagement strategies in IBA.
Session (90mins): A Dialogue on Student Engagement Strategy
- Introduction of the concept of shared space
- Few ideas regarding teaching plan and the course objective etc.
- Selection of case studies for your course
- Course concepts knowledge theory
- Tools Box: exercises, games, role play, team, and group activities etc.
- Demonstratable skills and practice
- critical and analytical thinking
- team problem solving and decision making
- leadership in crisis
- communication and presenting ideas
- controlling biases and prejudices
- listening, thinking, and not jumping to conclusions
- out of the box thinking and creativity

(1) to provide an in-depth methodological introduction into the PLS-SEM approach (the nature of causal modeling, analytical objectives, some statistics),
(2) the evaluation of measurement results, and
(3) complementary analytical techniques.
More specifically, participants will understand the following topics:
- Model development and fundamentals of PLS-SEM
- Assessment and reporting of measurement and structural model results
- A new criterion for discriminant validity: The heterotrait-monotrait ratio of correlations (HTMT)
- Mediating effects
- Moderating effects (interaction effects)
- Higher-order constructs (e.g., second-order models)
